Fujifilm has announced its new GF 100-200mm F5.6 R LM OIS WR tele-zoom lens. The lens, equivalent to 79-158mm when mounted on a GFX camera, has image stabilization (with a claimed 5 stops of shake reduction), a linear AF motor and weather-sealing.

The Fujinon GF 100-200mm F5.6 R LM OIS WR ($1,999) is one of a pair available now—the other is a 32-64mm—covering angles of view that fall into the short telephoto range. The narrow aperture makes The GF 100-200mm is much lighter than it looks so it will tuck away in a rucksack or shoulder bag quite nicely. With the X series 50-140 being $1599 I don't think the the GF 100-200 at $1999 can be considered a really expensive zoom considering that MF zooms have typically been significantly more expensive than even their best primes.
